MDI Creates the First Air Car

Moteur Development International developed the air powered car called the MiniC.A.T.
MDI is based in the south of France and spent 14 years developing the engine. The car stores compressed air in tanks and uses it to push the pistons while the air conditioning system uses cold air expelled by the engine, using a small mains-powered compressor can recharge the air tanks in as little as 10 minutes.
MiniC.A.T can reach 68mph and can go 200 – 300 km (124 – 186 miles) with one single charge.
India’s largest motor company, Tata, signed a deal to make the MDI cars and should start mass production by the end of the year. The MiniC.A.T costs 5,500 pounds or about $11,000 in U.S.
